Dr. Liu Zhenghua, Senior Engineer of Third Institute of Oceanography, Ministry of Natural Resources of China, Deputy Director of the APEC Marine Sustainable Development Center, Ministry of Natural Resources of China. He is mainly engaged in ecosystem services and management in coastal areas, ecological assessment and planning, and international cooperative research on the oceans in the Asia-Pacific. He has accumulated experience in coastal spatial planning, ecological protection and restoration of coastal wetlands, development and management of marine protected areas, development and practice of blue economy and other fields. Dr. Liu is one of the editors-in-chiefs and the associate editor of several monographs. And he helped to complete the APEC Marine Sustainable Development Report. He has carried out a number of APEC international cooperation projects and projects of China-ASEAN Maritime Cooperation Fund. He has participated in the organization of several sessions of the APEC Blue Economy Forum, actively promoting the practice and modelling of the APEC blue economy.
