The Guyana Fishery Industrial Park Project (Fuzhou Overseas Fishery Base) Completed and Put Into Operation

The Guyana Fishery Industrial Park Project, an overseas fishery base invested and constructed by Hongdong Fisheries Co., Ltd., a deep-sea fishery company in Fuzhou, has recently completed its construction and started production. After it is put into operation, the processing capacity of raw materials for dried shrimps can reach 200 tons per day, and the processing capacity of fish can reach 90 tons per day.

Guyana is adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean and has abundant fishery resources. The Guyana Fishery Industrial Park Project, with a total investment of $25 million, is a multi-functional comprehensive industrial park in Georgetown, Guyana that integrates fishing, processing and export, refrigeration and entrepot trade. The follows have been built: processing plants for aquatic products and dried shrimps, cold chain storage, the employee vocational training center, supporting facilities for work and life and other infrastructure. The project is currently the largest integrated fishery base in Guyana, covering a land area of about 30,000 square meters. The completion of the project has provided local residents with jobs, training and processing skills, and improved the overall development of local industries.
