Tehsil Tangi is a small city in Pakistan, with a population of approximately 428,239 according to the latest census. The area spans 8,584 acres,. Primarily an agricultural region, Tehsil Tangi is administratively divided into 12 Union Councils. Additionally, Tehsil Tangi includes 3 Neighbourhood Councils and 33 Village Councils, making a total of 36 councils. 

The Municipal Committee of Tangi was established in 1960 to provide municipal services within the urban area. In 2001, the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) was established to extend these services across all 12 Union Councils of Tehsil Tangi. 

The TMA is responsible for providing sanitation and water supply services throughout Tehsil Tangi, with a particular focus on urban areas such as NC Gulbagh, NC Fatehkehl, and NC Akhtar Abad, as well as rural areas. The office manages the collection of 6 tons of solid waste daily and clears approximately 500 meters of sewerage lines.
