The Huvadhoo Aid is a non-governmental non-profit organization working for the rural development of Huvadhoo Atoll. The organization works to improve the quality of life for the Huvadhoo atoll population, especially, youth, women, and the disabled. Projects undertaken successfully relate to agriculture, youth development, human rights, the environment, democracy, women’s empowerment and community development. Currently HAD runs a preschool and also places overseas volunteers in various island projects.

The Huvadhoo Aid is based on actions to enable the community and NGOs to effectively promote and advance the interests, well-being of island community and improve the effectiveness of the NGOs serving the community.

The service of the Huvadhoo Aid includes democratic governance, environment and climate change,  youth and women empowerment,  drug and substance abuse prevention  and community development.
