Pescara is the capital city of the Province of Pescara, in the Abruzzo region of Italy. Located on the Adriatic coast at the mouth of the Aterno-Pescara River, Pescara is the most crucial hub of economy, trade and tourism along the coast. The 20-mile long coastline has endowed Pescara the most popular Italian destination for tourists in summer. The Pescara football club has won two champions in Serie B TIM. In June 2017, YOU Mengjun, the mayor of Fuzhou municipality, met his counterpart from Pescara, Mark Ariesandrani, along with his companions. During their meeting, the two sides signed the letter of intent on the establishment of friendship cities and the agreement on football town project. Campus football thereafter has become the new area for deeper cooperation.
