Dr.Chen Nengwang, PhD from Xiamen University, Postdoctor from Zhejiang University, was a visiting scholar at the University of Maryland, USA, and the University of Utrecht, the Netherlands. Currently a professor at Xiamen University, he is the head of the College of the Environment Xiamen University and the deputy director of Fujian Provincial Key Laboratory for Coastal Ecology and Environmental Studies. His main research directions are environmental biogeochemistry, environmental processes and effects at the land-sea interface, ecological monitoring and evaluation, environmental planning and management, and ecological big data. In 2009, he established the Laboratory of Environmental Processes, aiming to transform scientific research results into basin-offshore environmental protection and comprehensive governance. He has also presided over many projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China.
