Dr. Zhang Jie is currently Dean of College of Oceanography and Space Informatics in China University of Petroleum (East China), and also a researcher and a Ph.D. supervisor. Previously, he was Director of the Laboratory of Marine Physics and Remote Sensing of the First Institute of Oceanography of the State Oceanic Administration, and Director of Technology Innovation Center for Ocean Telemetry, Ministry of Natural Resources. Dr. Zhang’s research mainly focuses on ocean remote sensing and telemetry. He graduated from Tsinghua University with a Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics and was once granted the special allowance from the State Council.
