The history of Fuzhou Navy Yard, is half of the Chinese modern history. Mawei of Fuzhou City, is one of the origins for China's Westernization Movement, the birthplace of China's shipbuilding industry & the cradle of Chinese modern navy. In Episode 6 for Stories of Ancient Houses in Fuzhou, with Yang Yingqi from the Chinese American Federation and Chen Yue from Mawei Navy Yard Culture Research Society, we are going to explore the old site of Mawei Shipyard and feel the past and present of this hundred-year-old navy yard.
