It’s learned that since 2018, Fuzhou has been actively engaged in actions promoting Fujian into the core area of the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road and building Fuzhou into a city with a new height of creativity and openness by making full use of multiple preferential policies under the guidance of Maritime Silk Road Initiative, so as to build Fuzhou into a strategic hub of maritime cooperation and deepen the exchanges and cooperation between Fuzhou and other countries along the “Maritime Silk Road”.

Next, Fuzhou will further promote the "Silk Road Shipping" project and other key projects, aiming to build a smoother cross-border logistics and shipping system and  making Fuzhou a regional headquarter for international shipping and logistics of countries along the "Maritime Silk Road ". Meanwhile, Fuzhou will strive to attract shipping giants such as Mediterranean Shipping to set up divisions in Fuzhou and include Fuzhou as a trunk line. Also, Fuzhou is committed to attracting cross-strait cargo to transit through Fuzhou, so as to build a "Fuzhou-Taiwan-World" logistics channel. Lastly,  efforts will be made to attract investment from large air freight companies to launch a number of routes along the "Maritime Silk Road " with a focus on the construction of Fuzhou (Changle) International Aviation Town, and thus build an efficient and convenient air logistics network.
