Jilin, China

Jilin is located at the foot of Changbai Mountains and on the banks of the Songhua River, and is the only city with the same name as the province where it is located. The city covers an area of 27,120 square kilometers, with a total population of 4.5 million. In the future, Jilin is expected to be a new industrial base, a famous city of cultural tourism, as well as an ecological and livable city. Jilin is rich in natural resources and is one of the few cities in northern China with abundant hydropower. In recent years, Jilin has been proactively cultivating six new industries: tourism, health, aviation, information technology, new materials and advanced equipment manufacturing. In addition, the city is transforming and upgrading its four pillar industries: automobile, chemistries, metallurgy and agricultural products processing, with a focus on the development of modern services industry and modern agriculture.
