Shahbaz Khan, Ph.D., is currently Director of UNESCO Beijing Office. He has been committed to the research of such fields as civil engineering, hydrology, environmental law, environmental economics and international environmental sciences. Joining UNESCO in 2008, he has also been highly recognized in China for his excellent work, winning the Chinese Government Friendship Award and the Beijing Great Wall Friendship Award respectively in 2019 and 2017.
