During the visit, Wu Xiande also held in-depth discussions with representatives of enterprises such as Baicheng International Trade and Saint John Construction (Argentina), and America Business and Shenglong Steel (Peru). At the China (Fujian)–Argentina Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Conference, Fuzhou signed seven projects, including the TPV electronic materials industry supply chain and the Hongdong Argentina Comprehensive Fishery Base, ranking first among all cities in Fujian Province. At a docking event between Silk Road Cross-Border New Retail Industrial Park (Argentina) and Fuzhou Centralized Procurement Center for Overseas Chinese Businessmen, Wu witnessed the signing of an agreement between the center and Mercado Libre, and awarded a plaque for the New Energy Vehicle Industrial Park. Wu Xiande emphasized that Fuzhou is now following the grand blueprint laid out by President Xi Jinping, adhering to the core principles of the “3820” strategic Vision Plan, actively integrating into the Belt and Road Initiative, and accelerating its transformation into a modern international city. He welcomed enterprises from Argentina and Peru to increase investment in Fuzhou, promising a first-class, market-oriented, law-based, and internationalized business environment. He also encouraged and supported Fuzhou enterprises to invest in Argentina and Peru for mutual development.
During the trip, Wu Xiande also visited the Argentina China Assistance Center and overseas Chinese associations in Peru, including the Fujian and Fuqing Hometown Associations. He greeted local overseas Chinese from Fujian and Fuzhou, expressing hope that they would continue to uphold the fine tradition of patriotism and love for their hometown, support the development of Fuzhou, and contribute to its role in advancing Chinese modernization.
