Old Silk Road, Young in Cultures
The highly anticipated awards ceremony for the Third Silk Road International Youth Photography and Short Video Competition will be grandly held in Fuzhou on December 6.
Since its launch in May this year, the competition has garnered widespread attention and enthusiastic responses both domestically and internationally. This year’s competition saw a significant increase in participation compared to previous competitions, with 2,755 entries from 68 countries across five continents. Among them, there were 2,188 photography submissions and 567 short video entries.
The award-winning works will be showcased through both online and offline exhibitions, allowing a broader audience to appreciate these outstanding creations and experience the dazzling charm of the “Silk Road” culture up close.
Additionally, representatives of awards winners will visit Fuzhou’s historical and cultural landmarks such as Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, Mawei Chuanzheng Culture Town, and Yantai Hill, immersing themselves in the unique charm of Fuzhou’s cultural heritage.
The Third Silk Road International Youth Photography and Short Video Competition is organized by the 21st-Century Maritime Cooperation Committee and the Fuzhou People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. With the theme “Old Silk Road, Young in Cultures,” the competition aims to strengthen cultural and artistic exchanges among youth worldwide, foster mutual understanding and friendship, and share the unique charm of cultures from different countries through visual creations.
