Recently, Fuzhou held a light show to welcome the Chinese New Year along Minjiang River. With the river as its stage and the sky as a curtain, more than 20 buildings towering over Minjiang River constantly changed their “clothes”, presenting citizens and tourists a romantic and wonderful feast of lights and shadows. In the spectacular lights of the bridges, the riverbanks and the buildings, people felt like walking through a corridor of stunning visual and spatial arts. Since Fuzhou is the only city in China that has in its name the Chinese character "Fu"(福), which means blessings, slogans containing “Fu” (福) were displayed on scroll on the buildings, showcasing the city’s “Fu” culture and sending blessings to people in the meantime.
