The Vice Governor of Fujian Province, Guo Ningning, the Secretary-General of Fujian Provincial People’s Government, and heads of other relevant provincial departments, as well as relevant leaders from Indonesia’s ministries for SOEs, health, investment, finance, infrastructure and transportation, also attended the event.
Wang Ning expressed that, in a recent phone call with President Joko Widodo, President Xi Jinping proposed important points for key projects like the "Two Countries, Twin Parks" Cooperation, showing the direction for Fujian Province’s further cooperation with Indonesia. Wang Ning hopes that, through this meeting, the two sides can further utilize their comparative advantages in fields of geographic positions, resources and industries, and so on, continuously improve the mechanism of coordination, raise the compatibility in organizational structures, speed up the building of the trade platform and jointly better prepare for the first Global Invest Promotion Conference. With these efforts, a cooperation mechanism with inter-related industries, interconnected infrastructures and reciprocal policies would be fostered and the "Two Countries, Twin Parks" project would link industries of the two countries, adding new drive to the high-quality joint construction of the ‘Belt and Road’.
Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan expressed that the China-Indonesia high-level dialogue cooperation mechanism established two days before provides new support to the more fruitful collaboration between the two countries. Given the strong bonds and close exchanges between Indonesia and the Fujian Province, it is hoped that the two sides can deepen economic and trade relations, advance the Cooperation on the "Two Countries, Twin Parks", expand cooperation in fields, such as trade and investment, public health, aerospace and maritime affairs, increase cultural exchanges and actively participate in the Belt and Road Initiative.
