2024 World Maritime Equipment Conference Focuses on the Industry Frontier

2024 World Maritime Equipment Conference kicked off on November 15th in Fuzhou, Fujian. Themed Carrying the Dreams of Humanity to New Horizons, the four-day Conference focused on the hot topics in the field of maritime equipment, with an aim to promote coordination and innovation of industrial and supply chains, enhance industry-university-research collaboration, talents exchanges, economic and trade match-making, and commercialization of research findings. 

During the keynote speech session in the opening ceremony, experts and scholars from home and abroad, representatives from enterprises and industry  associations exchanged opinions on such topics as technological innovation, equipment manufacturing and industrial cooperation. 

Many participants agreed that China's high-end, intelligent and green maritime equipment is deeply integrated in the global industrial chain and supply chain, and its industrial innovation ability and competitiveness have been significantly improved. The development of maritime equipment now witnesses the new trends of the integration of technological and industrial innovation, green and intelligent transformation and upgrading, further opening up and win-win cooperation. 

In the meantime, more than 700 ship manufacturers and suppliers across the globe participated in a parallel marine equipment expo, which showcases advanced scientific and technological innovation and industrial development achievements in the field. The exhibition area is about 100,000 square meters with 15 indoor and 1 outdoor exhibition areas. 

The Conference was hosted by Fujian Provincial Peoples Government, and organized by Fuzhou Municipal Peoples Government, China Center for Information Industry Development (CCID), Fujian Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Fujian Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Fujian Provincial Department of Transport, Fujian Provincial Department of Natural Resources, and Fujian Provincial Bureau of Ocean and Fisheries.
